I’m establishing a new platform for independent businesses serving the York area called York Favourites.

Founder Members will each have category exclusivity, meaning there will be no direct competitor from the same category on the platform.

I’m currently looking for one high-quality carpet/upholstery cleaning business to take the Founder position for York.

The Founder position itself is FREE – £0.00 when you subscribe to our Conversation Starters system at £97 per month.

Conversation Starters is designed to generate more customer conversations and enquiries by giving people an easy way to ask the questions they are already wondering about.

At the heart of the system is your own trained Carpet Cleaning Buddy, supported by a knowledge base covering 50 carefully selected carpet and upholstery cleaning questions.

We also train it on information specific to your own business, with clear boundaries and everything approved by you before it goes live.

Those 50 questions then become conversation starters across:

• Your website

• Facebook / Instagram

• Your Google Business Profile

• Printed advertising and leaflets using QR codes

We also provide 50 social media posts based around the 50 questions, giving you approximately a year of ready-made conversation-starting content.

At the same time, we’ll be building the audience for York Favourites from September onwards, primarily through Gift Voucher Giveaways with quality independent restaurants around York.

By the end of 2026, the aim is that you will have two exclusive positions:

1. The only carpet/upholstery cleaner on York Favourites

2. The only business in your category in the York area using our Conversation Starters system

You’ll also receive first refusal on Founder Member positions if we open Favourites platforms in other suitable locations.

The Founder Member trial

The first payment of £97 would be due on sign-up, followed by monthly payments from 1 September to 1 December.

5 payments total: £485.

Then on 1 January 2027, you choose:

Continue with both exclusive positions at £97/month

or

Request a full refund of the £485 if you don’t believe you have received worthwhile value from the trial.

My job over the next few months is therefore very simple: make sure Conversation Starters and York Favourites generate enough value that you want to keep them.
